Combining research from the fields of history, art, and visual culture, Textures is dedicated to the hair story of people of African descent. Addressing the global Diaspora and regional narratives, historic combs, picks, pins, and haircare products are exhibited alongside works by fifty artists from Africa, the Americas, and Europe.
